Born and raised in the Capital Region, I have worked in the Upstate New York region for many years. In 1993, upon graduating from Troy High School in Troy, NY, I enlisted into the Army Reserves and subsequently into the New York Army National Guard. I attended college at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy during this time and have been an active member of the community. Working alongside my father, I had an early introduction to the real estate world...specifically in real estate property maintenance and management. In 1995, I graduated from HVCC with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice and decided to head 1,300 miles south to continue my college education. I enrolled into the University of South Florida in Tampa to pursue a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminology. Upon enrollment to USF, I decided to further enhance my military career by enrolling into the University's ROTC program in hopes of becoming a military officer one day. In 1998, that day came true when I graduated from university and received my military commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. My military career as an officer immediately took off. Upon completion of Officers Basic Course in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, I was assigned as Platoon Leader for a 73-Soldier platoon at Fort Hood, TX. I completed my active duty service and transferred back to Florida and the Florida Army National Guard in 2001. Promoted to Captain, I was honored to be giving the opportunity for command. Assigned as a Commander, I was responsible for the training and wartime preparation of 200+ Soldiers under my command. During this time I also became a Realtor serving the Tampa Bay area. As a RE/MAX agent, I quickly become a multi-million-dollar producer, gaining experience in both commercial and residential property transactions. I also managed property for my out-of-state clients, ensuring their purchases remained viable investments. During this time I also received training in real estate for senior citizens. I earned the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation ensuring that my senior-citizen clients receive the best service possible. In 2009, I had to put my real estate career on hold as I was activated to prepare myself and my Soldiers for deployment to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In January 2010, my battalion deployed to Kuwait to support units coming in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan. As the Camp Virginia, Kuwait logistics officer, I was responsible for ensuring all life-support commodities (water, fuel, ice, etc.) were available to over 5,000 permanent and transient residents of the base. After a year deployed, I returned to my wife and two young children in Florida. I continued my military and real estate career in Florida until we moved up to New York in 2012. Seeing great potential for the real estate market here in NY, I decided to continue my real estate career to support clients in the capital region. I decided to work with The Virtual Realty Group because I wanted to ensure the best service for my clients and friends. Recently certified as a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), I have taken the extra step to also ensure my clients receive nothing short of the best representation possible. My 15+ years of experience in the real estate industry has helped hundreds of clients over the years. I looks forward to continuing my career in this industry in hopes of helping many more families and businesses achieve their dreams and goals.
