Uma Kumar has been involved in the Real Estate business in India for the past ten years. During that time, she has had exposure to all aspects of the real estate industry, from market study analysis and liaising with property experts and those in the construction industry, to collaborating with interior designers and landscape professionals. In particular, she has developed a block of flats and manages it as a rental property. She has been intimately involved with the Real Estate industry since a young age, her family having established a successful industrial enterprise in India focusing on the infrastructural requirements of a growing economy such as cement, transport, housing and financing.Uma has lived in London, New York and India and has also traveled widely throughout Europe and Asia. She recently decided to return to live in New York and has purchased a property here.It is her intention to continue to work in the same area, combining her business proclivity for real estate work with her passion for creativity.Uma?s undergraduate education in India focused on Economics, Econometrics and Statistics. Uma subsequently obtained an M.Phil in Economics at the Graduate Center in New York, pursuant to which she worked at CBS New York as an economic analyst.Uma is a deeply spiritual person, and has created a series of over 300 paintings inspired by her love of and strong faith in her religion. Her ability to understand and quickly connect with people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds enables her to empathize with people?s needs and offer practical solutions tailored to those needs.
