Melissa loves her chosen profession, and sees helping people find or change homes as a sacred responsibility not merely a financial transaction. Melissa believes there is nothing more important than your home; it is where you may fall in love, start a family, or maybe, just where you return to recharge and get centered. Whether it be an owned or rented home, both are equally important.

Licensed since 2002, and a member of that rare species, the "Native New Yorker", Melissa who was born into a respected real estate family was raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan attending PS 6, Nightingale-Bamford and the Brearley Schools. In addition to the Upper East Side, she has lived on West 57th Street, in Murray Hill for 30 years and now hangs her hat in Historic Jackson Heights. Melissa feels comfortable representing a property or buyers anywhere in this city.

A 25 year sales career in the printing industry helped her hone her negotiating skills, and a journalism degree taught her how to truly listen to what people are saying or asking, a skill she uses every day in this business. With lots of experience, but remaining teachable, Melissa's definition of a good day is one where something new has been learned or a new friend has been made. There can be many bumps in the road to changing homes but with Melissa the ride is smoother and easier for everyone and hopefully fun too.

Melissa is a member of Squadron A and the Jackson Heights Beautification Group, she is passionate about historic preservation, ending homelessness and water aerobics.
