About Lawrence Aaron Bassin
New to Keller Williams, Lawrence has New York running through his veins. Born at NYU Medical Center, his upbringing started on the Upper East Side and then continued when his parents moved from Manhattan to the area of the Bronx known as Riverdale. From a young age Lawrence used the excuse of visiting his relatives living throughout the city to explore the ins and outs of Manhattan and all of her boroughs. These explorations helped to teach him that every borough and every neighborhood has its own personality and way of life. With a mother raised in the Bronx, and a father raised in Washington Heights & Brooklyn, Lawrence was destined to take the combination of those two different mentalities and be molded into the consummate New Yorker. Someone who desired to seek out the unknown and broaden his horizons while adding just that little bit of originality NewYorkers are known for. After graduating high school and while attending college, Lawrence was lured away from academics by the film industry. What had started as a simple interning position at a small entertainment company based in SoHo, became a full time obsession and he very quickly made a name for himself as a go to guy for every position that might need to be filled. But it didn?t stop there, it led to opportunities for him to spend years jumping back and forth over the puddle that is the Atlantic Ocean between New York &Europe on a variety of different types of productions all the while learning the complexities of other cities in the world. He started his own production company and in his position as co-owner and producer of content, Lawrence learned first-hand how to deal and negotiate with people from all different walks of life, honing a skill that he would use throughout his experiences to collaborate and build relationships that last to this day. It taught him that even through the toughest of negotiations he liked helping people. He learned that he liked to make sure that people were happy with the services that he was providing them.Working so close with artists during his time as a producer sparked a love that he had nurtured throughout his childhood with his involvement in acting, dancing and music. This realization led Lawrence to leave his position at his Production Company and head out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.Out of necessity, while pursuing stardom, he joined the ranks of actors in the service industry. This proved fortuitous because he found that some of the skills that he had learned at the production company could easily be applied there. And he spent years, while trying to become a household name, using those skills to make some of the most influential people in the entertainment industry happy, to make sure that they got what they wanted with the least amount of hassle.Begrudgingly realizing that his aims of stardom might be too lofty, he returned to his home turf of New York after a close friend offered him a job managing his printing and design firm. He spent several years doing this while still maintaining a position in some form, in the service industry. The two jobs helped him to satisfy what had become a need, a need to cater to people, to empathize with them and make sure that they received the exemplary service that he had come to expect of himself.Knowing that managing a printing firm was not something that he wanted to call a career, he found himself working in the service industry full time and looking for something that would help to establish him as a professional. This led to Real Estate. His knowledge of New York and the joy he received from making sure people got what they wanted served his stead in that industry, in this industry. An industry where he finds himself on a daily basis helping people to achieve lifelong dreams of renting or owning a piece of property in one of the greatest metropolises in the world.?The client?s needs are paramount,? has become a sort of personal mantra for him. Making sure that the desires to lay roots or further expand themselves into the bedrock of this city are made into a reality. Never really separating the needs of his clients from those of his own, making himself available around the clock so that his clients are fully catered to. He wants to make sure that when you want to call New York your home, where ever in this great city that might be, your experience finding a place to live in is ushered along by an individual that prides himself on satisfying people?s needs and being there for them every step of the way. Not only in the city that he loves, but one that he has through all of his life and travels, called home.
