About Colbert Holland Warfield
Colbert Holland Warfield (?Colby?), is a native New Yorker and the fourth generation to be active in NYC real estate. His family has been involved in areas as diverse as structural steel fabrication, owner-builders of both commercial and residential properties, leasing, sales, and property management. Colby?s unconventional path to real estate, which includes more than ten years in project management, marketing and event design for Fortune 500 companies, has provided him a unique skill set that enables him to service his clients with the highest level of attention and service.
Colby was one of two key figures in a start-up event planning company that grossed in excess of one million dollars in its first year. He went on to become the Luxury Marketing Director at Karlitz & Company leading the team that handled the luxury event program, By Invitation Only?, for the American Express Platinum Card? and Centurion? Members. By delivering unparalleled experiences for his clients and his creative marketing approaches his team increased the company?s marketing reach by 167% in his first year and 290% by the end of his second year of operations.
Following Karlitz & Company and AMEX, Colby joined a privately held company focused on developing solutions for and consulting in the waste-to-energy and construction reclamation industries where he became Director of Marketing and Project Development and was quickly promoted to Vice President. He was the lead person on analyzing industry trends and formulating competitive strategies in site development for their waste transfer facilities. In one project Colby was a key member of a team that traveled to the Dominican Republic to meet with several mayors to promote working together to redesign the way in which waste is collected and disposed of to reduce their carbon footprint and create alternate sources of energy and revenue. However, it was Colby?s work here in the tri-state area that reinforced his interest in NYC real estate as he worked with developers, construction companies, architects, and engineers.
Colby is a graduate of Horace Mann School, and while there he was accepted into and attended a summer program at Pembroke College of Oxford University. He went on to earn his B.A. degree at Clark University. Colby also completed the intern training program at Sotheby?s NYC, worked in marketing for the Worcester Art Museum, and following graduation from Clark worked at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston MA. Believing in the importance of community Colby became and has remained active with many charitable and philanthropic organizations in NYC including REBNY, Chefs for Humanity, St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital and New York Cares.
